Preparation before tiling
Make sure your wall, floor or ceiling is clean and smooth before you begin your project as this will really make a difference when you begin tiling. Professional tilers always order 5-8% more tiles than they actually need - there are always breakages no matter how careful you are, especially with high quality tiles like glass which can be quite fragile. Removing taps and shower heads will make it much easier to manoeuvre when tiling a bathroom or kitchen.
